A network of Supporting Sites allows groups of livestock producers to try new grazing practises or perennial pasture systems with the potential to meet the EverGraze aims of increased profitability and improved environmental outcomes in their own location and at a commercial scale.
With up to 10 Supporting Sites in each catchment, locally relevant results are being shared between groups and across regions.
Supporting Sites are at a large scale, half a paddock or a section of a farm, monitoring factors such as number of grazing days, percentage of bare ground and proportion of desirable species.

Supporting Site Monitoring
EverGraze Quickchecks Monitoring system for EverGraze Supporting Sites on farms across southern Australia
EverGraze Quickchecks is a simple system for producer groups and local
catchment staff to monitor soils, pastures and animals on EverGraze
Supporting Sites. It is based on the Quickchecks system developed
within the Land, Water and Wool project undertaken by Australian Wool
Innovation and Land and Water Australia.
EverGraze Quickchecks has been customised to collect more detailed
information on the composition and persistence of perennial pastures at
Supporting Sites. The paddock monitoring now also includes meat and
wool sheep and beef cattle to allow for the different types of stock
grazing on the Supporting Sites.
