Use of perennial pastures to increase pasture productivity and use the long growing season rainfall

Innovation being tested:

Improve the profitability and sustainability of the pasture by:

  • Sowing productive perennial pasture mix, potential to fit several species to different parts of the landscape
  • Adopting rotational grazing regime

Base pasture:

Currently used for a cereal crop

Animal systems:

Used for cattle finishing
